New Oil & Gas Discovery – Al Assil1 Alam El Shawish West, Western Desert, Egypt

Vegas Oil & Gas, being the operator of Alam El Shawish West Concession, is pleased to announce an oil & gas discovery with the Al Assil-1 well.

The Kharita formation tested at rates of 40.3 MMSCFD and 2,185 BCPD, the Mid Baharyia formation tested at rates of  0.68 MMSCFD and 230 BOPD and the Upper Baharyia formation tested at rates of 0.83 MMSCFD and 285 BOPD.

H.E. Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt, was present during the test.
